Duties to include:

  • Supporting residents with personal care and choice when getting dressed
  • Supporting residents with personal hygiene e.g., toileting, continence care, bathing, and grooming
  • Providing a warm and welcoming dining experience, which will include serving meals, supporting residents at mealtimes and cleaning tables
  • Supporting residents to maximise their personal comfort by moving and handling appropriately
  • Providing social engagement with residents by actively listening and talking about their personal interests
  • Assisting Activities Staff with the daily activities programme to give residents physical and mental stimulation
  • Adhering to residents’ person-centred care plans by recording observations, e.g., weight, nutrition, tissue viability and liquid intake
  • Welcoming new residents into the home by ensuring they are aware of their new surroundings
  • Accompanying residents on trips in the community
  • Accompanying residents to medical appointments
  • Observing, monitoring and recording residents’ physical and emotional well-being and promptly reporting any changes
