An opportunity for an apprentice to learn a set of skills in a real-world commercial environment.

We provide IT Support to schools and businesses in the Kirklees area, focusing mainly on Primary Schools. Alongside your day at college, you will work with senior IT staff and will be trained to be:

  • The first point of contact for our customers
  • You will log jobs on to our system
  • Dealing with enquiries by telephone, face to face and online
  • Download software on to PCs
  • You will be someone who is passionate about giving great customer service and loves what you do

As your experience grows you will be responsible for the

  • Repair and maintenance of all equipment (network and end user) and software
  • Gving technical advice for developments

This apprenticeship has a full-time role available at the end for any candidate that shows understanding in the field and great customer service.

As part of your contract of employment completion of the Apprenticeship Training Programme forms part of your duties as well as helping your personal and professional development; the requirements to complete the programme are as follows:

  • Attend and be punctual for all induction sessions
  • Attend and be punctual for all lessons
  • Complete all required assignments with by the required timeline.
  • Build up your portfolio of evidence on-going during your apprenticeship programme.
  • Access support from your tutor/assessor as and when required
  • Access support from your manager with regards to any evidence requirements or support as and when required
  • Attend all work-based training/support sessions

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by the organisation which is relevant to your post within the company to meet the overall business objectives.

The IT Solutions Technician apprenticeship equips learners with the technical skills they need to build competency within their role, developing a core set of technical and academic skills for IT Support and Networking. This covers subject areas below:
