To support the profitable growth of Tekbuild Ltd and associated companies by carrying out an Estimating function within the Company and ensuring estimates are carried out for the company’s supply and services whilst maintaining awareness and brand equity and supporting the development of the group of company’s growth strategy.

Duties include:

  • Primary responsibility is for the estimating of Load Bearing, LSF supply and install
  • Secondary responsibility is for the estimating of all other supplies and services offered by Tekbuild and associated companies
  • Point of contact for existing customers and new customers with respect to estimating, pricing, and tendering for Tekbuild and associated companies
  • Assist in the development of Tekbuild and associated companies with regards to new products and services
  • Representing Tekbuild and protecting the organisations interests at all times

Area of Key Responsibility:

To ensure the estimating functionality of Tekbuild and associated companies operates correctly to allow the continuation of increase in sales and revenue.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Log and record enquiries on the enquiry log and maintain enquiry log with project tender updates
  • Produce quotes in line with the Tekbuild QMS system
  • Identify labour, materials, plant, and time requirements by studying proposals, budgeting, specification, and related documents
  • Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, specifications, and related documents
  • Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information to client using Tekbuild software and documentation in a timely manner and in line with customer requirements
  • Prioritise your estimating workload daily
  • Accurate recording of all quotes issued and liaising with clients post tender to identify if projects have been converted and if not why
  • Prepare take offs, bill of quantities, mark-ups, and Tech reviews to allow the accurate pricing of enquiries
  • Utilise CRM software to manage client relationships and convert live enquires to orders
  • Communicate and issue required information to 3rd party suppliers of goods and services to obtain prices to allow accurate pricing and inclusion within Tekbuild quotes
  • Communication with clients and BDM throughout the tender process
  • Collaborative working with the Commercial Manager to assist in variations and valuations
  • Ensure that the Estimating function is fully resourced in line with current enquiry rates
  • Collaborative working with BDM to assist in the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies aligned with the Company’s strategic objectives.
  • Grow revenue by identifying opportunities, generating sales and enquiries throughout the tender process
  • Support product and solution development to increase value and profitability
  • Build relationships with key customers, new customers, industry, and market influencers
  • Continually monitor industry developments and competitor activity to ensure product, marketing and pricing strategies are relevant and successful
  • Support Tekbuild 3rd party suppliers by ensuring all required information is supplied internally from the client to allow the team to progress estimates/quotes/designs without the need for chasing information
  • Deliver and expedite information and Tech Reviews/Quotes etc from 3rd party suppliers to allow the estimating team to progress quotes

For example, if you already have a Level 4 qualification you still may be able to complete an apprenticeship at any level providing you meet the eligibility criteria and are learning substantive new skills.
