We have an exciting opportunity to work in the eBay sales department in one of our most vibrant business units within Vertu Motors plc: Aceparts.

This is a significant opportunity for the right candidate. This role also affords a brilliant entry point into the high-growth environment of Aceparts.

Aceparts is a fast-growing, quick paced e-commerce business, which is based from a central operational facility in Sittingbourne, Kent.

Role Description:

The role is to act as a support network for the Aceparts sales team, with the production of reports, analysing of business-critical data and supporting the team with purchase order management.

The role will also focus on the selling of clearance stock in line with the company stock obsolescence policy.

You will carry out a wide variety of different tasks, in order to help the right candidate to develop their skills in the online sales industry, particularly around marketplace management
and operational matters.

All training will be provided, and all we need is the right person with a keen interest in online sales.
The key to this role is to be ultra-methodical, ultra-detailed and super eager to develop a career for the future.

Although reporting into the Head of Marketplaces, the role will also involve working closely with the sales specialists, parts specialists and other teams within the business that your role impacts.

Sales Assistant Apprentice will be:

  • To provide relevant and accurate management information, whether that be financial, operational or marketing related, to sales and operational colleagues
  • Deliver timely and accurate reports
  • Monitor credit data to ensure we retain as many sales as possible
  • Assist with price updates of stock
  • Manage reorder levels and purchase orders
  • Assisting the marketing team in executing our marketing strategy
  • Selling of clearance stock
  • Taking images of new product
  • Other related tasks that may be required in a fast-paced business

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

The role would suit an ambitious and energetic self-starter who will thrive in an entrepreneurial atmosphere and values having a variety of work and business issues to cover. They should also be a brilliant collaborator and communicator, and be passionate about the role that sales assistants can play in helping drive business growth.

The candidate should be good with Microsoft Office packages, such as Excel and Word.

Personal qualities

The ideal candidate does not need experience, but any experience of selling online, even personal items will be a huge benefit.

Desired qualifications

Maths and English at grade C/4 (or equivalent) and above desirable.

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship plus Functional Skills and Technical Certificate if appropriate.

This apprenticeship programme is delivered with a blended learning approach and includes a mixture of onsite tutor visits and online tutor led sessions. All delivery is completed in the workplace and you will not need to attend any off-site training.
