The apprentice would be testing and preparing engineering documents, assembling, designing and building tooling with a focus primarily to work within Production Engineering to support operational excellence across multiple sites.

They would also carry out additional projects as required by the Head of Engineering as well as working across various departments to acquire business acumen.

Responsibilities will include:-

  • Contributes to team efforts by using his/her initiative
  • Assisting with creating Parts and Bills of Materials.
  • Assisting with Generating Engineering Change Requests
  • Assisting with preparation of Product Data Sheets.
  • Assisting with preparation of Procurement Specifications.
  • Assist teams in support of the Preventative Maintenance Programme for equipment and tooling
  • Production processes using Standardised Work documentation.
  • Will undergo training methods, processes and instructions for the manufacture of products to meet requirements of safety, quality, productivity, and cost,
  • Assist the design team in the NPD process, with specific views on safety, quality, and ease of manufacture of the product.
  • Identify & assist with innovative programmes for change and continuous improvement, promoting a right first-time culture, using lean manufacturing, problem solving and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Ensure customer requirements and expectations are always met.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Minimum of 5 x GCSE (Grade C equivalent or higher) to include maths

  • Commute to Farnham
  • Travel – may have an opportunity to travel to our other sites at Slough and Bulgaria.
  • The company is due to move location in the next 12-18 months (between Farnham and Slough), likely to be around Camberley/Frimley/Farnborough type areas.
