We are looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Apprentice to join our small friendly team. You will be working alongside our existing team within our Early Years room age group, providing a high standard of care and education for all children. You will take on the role of Key Person to a group of children.

Desired qualifications

Maths and English GCSE grade 4/3 or equivalent is desired however Level 2 functional skills will be delivered if required for the apprenticeship standard.

We are a group of nurseries so there are always opportunities to progress. We supply all training in regards to the Curiosity Approach and send our staff on training courses regularly.

We are a free flow setting so we go outside in all weathers with the children.

What will you learn?

  • Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard
  •  Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths (if required)
  • You will also be required to achieve a Paediatric First Aid certificate as part of the apprenticeship standard

Much of the training will be undertaken ‘on the job’, supported by regular visits from a qualified assessor.

The Early Years Educator is an 18 month programme, with apprentices being assessed on their competence within the workplace every 4-6 weeks.  Assignments will be set to cover the theory element of the qualification and you will attend a monthly workshop in Totton College.
