Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Storing and dealing with chilled, ambient and frozen food deliveries, and ensuring they are stored away correctly in stock rotation
  • Preparation of hot and cold food from menu including daily specials
  • Preparation of foods ready for service including Breakfasts, Daytime menu and special menu’s for functions and events
  • Working in a busy kitchen team, and following direction and support from chefs
  • Ensuring kitchen and food storage areas are kept hygienic and clean
  • Stock rotation
  • Periodical deep cleaning of kitchen
  • Effective communication with front of house team, and customers when this arises
  • Speaking with customer when required, in a polite and professional manner
  • Ensuring Company standards are achieved including food safety and other aspects of health and safety as required

Things to consider

  • Based in Chipping Campden. There are bus routes that go through the village
  • College will take place one day a fortnight in Rugby, Evesham or Leamington. Please consider logistics and transport when applying
  • Being flexible is essential, as our hotel does not close. This means we will ask you to work evenings, weekends and some public holidays
  • Hours will vary between 30-40 per week depending on business needs
  • Pay will start at £8 per hour and paid monthly

  • Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours as defined by the standard will be covered via workplace assessment visits and portfolio building
  • Master class attendance (in person/online/blended) every other week at college
