Looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual that sees their future within the catering business to join our team. This is an opportunity for the right person to acquire a lot of skills from our head chef in all aspects of the business but with a particular emphasis on the food preparation side, including:
- Food hygiene, preparation, presentation
- Temperature monitoring
- Allergen awareness
- Menu input
- Stock control & rotation, etc.
We run a clean, tidy & efficient kitchen and the applicant needs to be able to work at their best when we are at our busiest.
Requirements and prospects
- Literate and numerate
- Food hygiene certification a bonus but not essential as training given
Polite, punctual. clean, tidy, organised, good interpersonal skills, able to work as part of a team and to perform under pressure.
You will be required to have, unless exempt on entry, apprentices will be required to achieve Level 1 Functional Skills in English & maths and take the test at Level 2 prior to undertaking the end point assessment.
On successful completion, apprentices may progress into a Chef de Partie role or Senior Production Chef role.
You will gain practical experience whilst working towards a recognised qualification.
