As part of this role you will be required to study towards the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard at Colchester Institute.

Be part of a family business, where everyone works closely with one another, all dealing with a variety of tasks and work.  Sharing the work load but working as a team to develop the business.

Developing and improving Customer experience both in our Shop and on-line.

The role will be varied and will including:

  • Working with all members of staff
  • In the main the role will focus on Business Administration, assisting with  orders that we receive on-line, communicating with Customers by email (and some phone calls)
  • This will involve a variety of tasks, from monitoring stock and deliveries
  • Helping monitor stock control, processing and entering orders
  • Processing and Entering customers details and sales information
  • Assisting with loading products on Amazon and  Company Website
  • Assisting with updating products and prices on amazon and Website

Time will be shared reasonably equally between the variety of tasks that the individual will be involved in, which will include a reasonable amount of computer work.

It is our intention to develop the knowledge and skills required, thereby the Individual will have the opportunity to manage and teach other new staff members as the business develops  and grows.

Duties:

  • A full range of Office Admin Duties to include:
  • Raising and Checking Purchase Orders
  • Liaising with Suppliers
  • Various Scanning & Printing of Documentation
  • Checking Goods Received with Purchase Invoices
  • Telephone Answering and taking messages
  • Assisting with Stock Control / Monitoring
  • Assisting with wrapping and packing orders
  • Assisting with handling orders in shop and on-line
  • Entering sales details / information on Point of sale System
  • Assisting with Booking In and checking Goods Received
  • Assisting with entries on Sage Accounts System – Purchase Invoices
  • Assisting to admin duties on Co. Website and with On-line Sales 
  • To assist with loading products on Amazon and Company Website
  • To assist with updating products and prices on Amazon and Website
  • Working with Microsoft Word and Excel
