We are looking for an apprentice butcher to work 39 hours a week over 5 days including Saturdays. 

They will be trained in all aspects of the meat industry. Duties and tasks you will carry out are:

  • Sausage making
  • Burger making
  • Vacuum packing
  • Stock control
  • Customer Service

Future prospects

Butchery is a skills shortage so if you are proficient and qualified you can further your career. For example becoming a supervisor, trainee manager, manager of shop or department.

Things to consider

It is hard work, often involves weekend work and it can be physically demanding; especially in the winter as it is a cold environment to work in.
