The successful individual will be fully trained and supported by OTE Construction and Avant Skills Academy to complete a Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship.  

An overview of the duties will include:

  • Ensure batching and submission of accurate learner data and/or documentation and evidence
  • Maintain the Management Information System PICS producing data and reports to meet compliance and quality improvement requirements, including supporting the identification of trends in learner and programme performance
  • Ensure all records are checked for accuracy and are input and updated on the management information system
  • Support the review, production, organisation and dissemination of documentation, information, policies, procedures, and records related to quality processes
  • Undertake internal and external audits to ensure compliance with funding body, Ofsted, and programme requirements
  • Support learning and programme evaluation through the collection, analysis and reporting of learner and employer feedback
  • Support the preparation for internal and external audit, review, and Ofsted Inspection
  • Deal with external queries, providing effective customer service
  • Support internal staff and delivery partner staff training and development
  • Liaise with external organisations, including employers, learners, delivery partners and funding bodies

Key objectives:

  • Develop processes to support the effective compliance controls, quality assurance and quality improvement across the organisation, its programmes and delivery partners
  • Effectively maintain the management information system, paying close attention to detail and with a high degree of accuracy
  • Produce and analyse reports, compliance, and qualitative data to support effective contract management, quality assurance and quality improvement

Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours which will support you for your end-point assessment
  • You will take part in a combination of activities, such as face-to-face classroom-based sessions, remote learning sessions, work shadowing and online learning, to support your learning and development and compile a portfolio of evidence
  • The successful candidate will be required to attend the Avant Skills Academy Training Centre based in Central Grimsby every other week to undertake training sessions, throughout the length of the apprenticeship

Off-the-job training:

  • Apprenticeships are about upskilling and reaching occupational competency takes time. Many employers and apprentices have praised the positive effect off-the-job training has on their productivity and apprentices feel valued by the significant investment in their training
  • All off-the-job training must be relevant to the Apprenticeship Standard being undertaken 
  • Your off-the-job training will be agreed with your employer and Avant before you commence your programme
  • The successful candidate will be required to attend the Avant Skills Academy Training Centre based in Central Grimsby every other week to undertake training sessions, throughout the length of the apprenticeship

End-Point Assessment:

At the end of the on-programme learning, you will be required to undertake an end-point assessment to demonstrate you have met the occupational standard.

This includes:

  • Scenario Demonstrations with questioning
  • Professional Discussion underpinned by a portfolio
