DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deal with all correspondence and matters with discretion and in a confidential and professional manner
  • Upload relevant documents to Weytrack for students with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND)
  • Record EHCP outcomes on Weytrack for each student, liaise with personal tutors to ensure EHCP outcomes and progress are being recorded
  • Update records and provide reports on additional learner support needs (ALS)
  • Keep all SEND data and information systems up to date
  • Monitor attendance for SEND and ALS students, liaise with lecturers and produce reports
  • Support the exam access arrangement process. Arrange and record assessment appointments, check referrals for sufficient information to meet JCQ guidelines and collate evidence for submission to exams
  • Undertake a range of administrative tasks, including but not limited to, word processing, filing, record keeping, post, data entry and production of reports
  • Design documents and templates for recording and reporting purposes
  • Complete miscellaneous correspondence regarding learner support, student support needs and exam access arrangements as required, by telephone or email
  • Help prepare for / assist at school open days / career events, college recruitment events and enrolment sessions when necessary

  • Drive and participate in the performance management process as appropriate to position
  • Comply with the College’s Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Quality Improvement policies and their recommendations
  • Carry out operational duties as required and commensurate with the position
  • Promote and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons
  • Use all available resources efficiently and effectively and in line with good eco-friendly practices
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings and in-service training as and when requested
  • Undertake appropriate personal and professional development activities and record on the College Continuing Professional Development (CPD) system
  • Manage and minimise risk within all areas of responsibility
