The apprentice role will include working at one of our 10 main depots within the UK receiving on the job training from our skilled engineers and also attending North Warwickshire and Hinckley College on block release with the opportunity to achieve NVQ level 3 in fork truck maintenance. There is also the possibility of going onto achieve NVQ level 4 in technician/management studies.

  • Understanding mechanical reasoning

Personal qualities

  • Honest, self-motivated, good time keeping and attendance record

Desired qualifications

It is more important that the company get the right person for this role rather than qualifications alone. However, a good level of education especially in maths and English would be advantageous. Ideally the successful candidate will have 3 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above (including maths and English) or equivalent.

Future prospects

For the right candidates there will be a job at the end of the programme and the opportunity to progress within the company with prospects of becoming a Technician, Team Leader or entering a management role.

  • Functional skills if needed

Training will be delivered in the workplace along with 2 week block release to NWSLC 5 times in an academic year at their Harrowbrook campus in Leicestershire.
