An exceptional opportunity for someone looking to progress in the catering industry. We are currently looking to recruit an apprentice to join our kitchen team. This is a full-time position and all training will be offered in line with the Level 2 Commis Chef Food Production course available.

You will be learning to:

  • Run your own section
  • Manage your time carefully
  • Complete your work to exacting standards with the guidance from experienced Chefs

Duties include:

  • Food preparation including basic knife skills
  • Working alongside trained chefs to gain cooking skills and knowledge
  • Making sure the kitchen is clean, tidy and free of hazards
  • Plating up meals in a presentable and creative manner in line with menu specifications
  • Getting food out to customers in a timely manner

In a stone-built, 18th-century, former school building, this relaxed hotel is a 4-minute walk from Sherborne train station and 0.9 miles from Sherborne Castle.
