Responsibilities will include:

  • ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Following the approval of New Product Development (NPD) Concepts from the customer the role will be responsible for the successful scale up of new products into the factory considering Technical, Operational, Commercial and Customer requirements for all site NPD launches
  • Ensure the Development process is followed and that each stage is completed accurately, documented, and communicated through to key stake holders
  • Attend site feasibility meetings and highlight any processes that are concerning, require validating or not possible in addition to considering if the product quality can be maintained through scale up
  • Following the feasibility meeting, conduct any required factory trials to assess the feasibility prior to presenting concepts to the customer
  • Attend site Handover meetings once concepts are approved by the customer and raise any concerns
  • Liaise with planning to book in factory trials and communicate to relevant stakeholders
  • Support with organising all elements of the factory trial including raw material sign off, nutritional’s, shelf life, travel test, post factory trial costings, trial data capturing, freezing validation etc.
  • Issue trial reports and attend trial review meetings

  • You will have the option to work flexibly as part of this role
  • The employer will pay your travel costs in addition to the apprenticeship wage
  • Following an initial period your wage may increase to £10/hr
  • A CRB check will be undertaken if you are successful for this role
  • The vacancy is based in a rural area and public transport links are minimal. You will need to ensure that you can access the employer and training provider in line with the hours of work
