Working for a General builder you will work on various projects. For example, loft conversions, extensions, new builds, barn conversions, shops, etc. Before you start the apprenticeship, you will have a 4-6 week work trial with us (National Minimum Wage).

When you’re on your apprenticeship we expect you to:

  • Observing all health and safety regulations
  • Promoting good working practice
  • Punctual and diligent at all times
  • Wearing PPE at all times

Duties will include:      

  • Labouring duties
  • Mixing cement, concrete, Render etc.
  • Shadowing experienced staff
  • Other construction duties i.e. plastering, carpentry etc
