You will be working in a well established, award winning butcher shop in the heart of Doncaster. You will gain heaps of experience and knowledge in the trade and gain a Level 2 in Butchery, which you can use to advance within the trade.

    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

    Two days off per week, Wednesday and Sunday. Market days are Tuesday Friday and Saturday and you’ll start early. Exact hours tbc, but to suit the business.

Desired qualifications

No qualifications required however, a good level of maths and english would be an advantage. 

You'll be required to complete functional skills maths and english if you haven't achieved an A-C or equivalent. 

Future prospects

At the end of your apprenticeship you'll meet with the shop manager to discuss future prospects. There is potential for a permanent position within the company and the opportunity to progress to an advanced butcher. 

Things to consider

You will be working in a chilled environment, standing for long periods of time, handling raw meats and carcasses. You must be prepared for early mornings on market days.
