There are a number of tasks within this apprenticeship, they will include:

  • Reception duties, which will include  meeting, greeting and helping customers
  • Processing payments and receipts
  • Dealing with internal and external customers including volenteers, service users, social services, GP surgeries, carers and families
  • Ensuring the correct services are implented for the service user to ensure their logical options requirements are met
  • Devloping knowledge and awareness of related legislations, policies and procedures in relation to services provided by Age UK
  • Communicating with customers via telephone, email and face to face
  • Building rapport and relationships with customers
  • Deliever excellent communication skills and customer service
  • Scanning, photocopying, faxing, filing and other general office duties
  • Maintenaning the records on Charity log and of filling / storage systems
  • Answering incoming calls across the organisation, deciding who the calls are for and what action is needed
  • Provide signposting or information for information and advice queries and requesting specific advisor call-backs for enquiries outside of your knowledge limitations

Desired qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have GCSEs, or equivalent, grade C/4 or above in maths, English and ICT
  • Please note that level 2 adult literacy and level 2 adult numeracy will not be accepted. This is due to the apprenticeship certificate awarding body’s requirements
