  • To support and manage the day to day administration and analytical requirements of the Sourcing team
  • Support Senior Sourcing Managers with key supplier negotiations 
  • Succession planning–a successful candidate will continue to develop through PDP and Objective management with a view to developing into a Category manager/Sourcing Manager role    
  • Raise special deals including gathering information from suppliers and tracking/chasing payments
  • Gather data and content to support preparation of supplier review slides
  • Manage supplier review meeting schedule
  • Assist in maintenance of SBT including YoY performance reporting and FY forecasting
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support deal assessment, sourcing KPI performance, supplier performance etc.
  • Support sourcing effectiveness programme; tracking and reporting, information gathering etc
  • Update Super Stan terms
  • Admin link between Sourcing and PFM (on system terms/tri-recs, SPIN process, invoice query escalation)    
  • Point of contact for suppliers to exchange information and data
  • Support materials/commodity price and currency tracking
  • Tracking of extended supplier base terms administration (B suppliers Super Stan/PFM)
  • Tracking/logging of ‘benefit abandonment’ 

At Wolseley you will be working towards your Business Admin Apprenticeship Level 3 over the course of 15 months.


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Business Objects (or equivalent) Computer Skills
  • Acumen for sensitive data filing and retrieval for Audit
  • Internal PFM system knowledge
  • Negotiation experience - (not essential)
