The Warehouse Apprentice is required to ensure that orders are picked and dispatched in a timely manner and that the duties within the warehouse are all carried out, these will include:

  • Ensure that all orders have been picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time
  • Ensure that the warehouse is kept tidy and safe of any hazards
  • Manage the receipt of goods in and out of the warehouse 
  • Ensure that all stock is stored safety and in the correct location 
  • Help with office duties where required
  • Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch
  • Take delivery of goods and ensure that these are then placed in the correct location and booked in
  • Check stock levels and advise the office of any stock outs
  • Ensure stock is rotated appropriately
  • Ensure the warehouse is cleaned and tidied at regular intervals and is free from hazards at all times
  • Routinely conduct appropriate safety checks – Forklift truck and racking Inspection 
  • Load vehicles in preparation for dispatch
  • Quality check product on receipt and prior to dispatch
  • Ensure goods are labelled with CE marking where appropriate
  • Ensure the warehouse is left safe and secure at the end of each day
  • Help with general office admin duties in exceptional circumstances where required

Physical demands:

  • Loading and unloading of goods from vehicles
  • Stacking of goods in correct storage areas/bays
  • Handling and stacking of empty pallets
