The successful candidate will have the desire & attitude to work closely within a team and must be committed to do their training and driven to want to develop and progress within their role and potentially longer term within the company.

Within the role of a field based Apprentice Service Engineer there will be daily travel throughout your allocated region of South of England with occasional requirements to travel to the other regions depending on business demands.  In addition to this you will be required to travel to our Head Office based in Leicester as and when necessary together with overnight stays depending on location of the work being carried out. 

For our South UK customer base, the ideal location for candidates would be within any of the following postcodes of SL / HP / RG / LU / OX / MK / AL / SG.

Key responsibilities will be to:

  • Assist, support & undertake in all service related activities within the respective North or South region
  • Efficiently arrive at & attend customers sites in a timely and presentable manner
  • Identify opportunities for service upgrades, spare parts & aftermarket care
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships     
  • Ensure all required and relevant paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely fashion

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • You will need to be able to work well as part of a wider team & when required individually and maintain high levels of professionalism at all times
  • The successful candidate will have the ability to learn quickly, be open to improving and have a good eye for spotting opportunities
  • A friendly, proactive, hardworking individual with a “can do” attitude would excel in this role

Personal qualities

  • You will be keen and eager to learn and have the willingness to undertake self-development
  • Travel is essential mainly within the southern region, but this could at times be across the UK – flexibility is required as this could mean that longer days are at times required and at times overnights stays

Desired qualifications

  • English, maths GCSE grade 4/C or above or equivalent
  • STEM subject at GCSE grade 4/C or above or equivalent
  • Predicted grades will be accepted
