Over the two years you will gain first-hand experience working in various work locations and with customers with varying needs and learning and physical disabilities. The customers you work with will vary in age from children to older adults and you will work on a rotational basis changing work location every three months.
You will have four rotations in year one and will repeat this in year two allowing you to apply your knowledge gained in year one to progress your skills, knowledge, and experience in the beginning of your career in Adult Social Care. (The planned rotations are illustrated in the enclosed documents).

Desired skills
You will need to demonstrate effective teamwork and intercommunication skills, to ensure that customers are supported to the highest standard whilst always maintaining customer confidentiality.
Personal qualities
We are looking for someone with a good sense of humour that can be adaptable and flexible enough to meet the needs of customers with a wide variety of needs and aspirations.
Being respectful as well as friendly, understanding, and approachable are essential qualities required in the role.
Desired qualifications
This is an apprentice position – the successful candidate will be working towards their Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
Future prospects
As an apprentice with Oaklea, you can expect to gain a wealth of experience working across a varied customer base during the 2 years apprenticeship. Upon completion there will be opportunities to join the workforce.
