Main responsibilities will include.

Communication:

  • Take dictation and quickly and accurately type documents
  • Prepare presentations
  • Write correspondence, reports, newsletters, and executive summaries
  • Make and receive calls on MD’s behalf
  • Communication between office and production staff

Planning:

  • Delegate work on the MD's behalf
  • Manage the MD to her agenda for the day/week

Meetings and Event:

  • Meet and greet visitors upon arrival
  • Prepare papers for meetings
  • Organise and manage events/projects
  • Book, manage, and minute meetings
  • Attend events/meetings as the MD’s representative
  • Attend the weekly Production meeting on behalf of MD

Travel Arrangements:

  • Make travel arrangements
  • Prepare complex itineraries

Financial:

  • Manage a budget
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations

Research:

  • Conduct internet research
  • Source suppliers and contractors
  • Make reports and overviews and brief MD on both internal and external matters

Organisation:

  • Maintain effective office filing systems
  • Manage projects
  • Supervise progress of tasks delegated to staff by MD and agreed actions are happening timely

Daily tasks:

  • Open and distribute post to the relevant people
  • Help MD with personal tasks

Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)

Apprentices will be required to attend college at least one-day per week either at Harrow or Hayes Campus completing necessary mandatory training and units associated with the apprenticeship.  Our Account Manager, industry-trained assessor, and Learning Advocate support apprentices to deliver our high-quality training programmes.

The first few weeks on the job you will be in training and rotating through all the areas of the business including especially production: warehouse, baking, packing, delivery, and office. This is done so that you understand the business and form a network of people to help you as you start your job.
