Some of your daily activities will be: 

  • Ensure the Credit Union is protected at all times by minimising risks and ensuring members money is protected
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of all credit union products and services
  • Ensure all work is carried out is in line with internal guidelines and FCA/PRA requirements, this will be taught to you so not to worry
  • Act as first point of contact for all members and potential members, in person, on calls and online
  • Develop and understand how to provide advice and guidance and to find solutions which meet member needs
  • Develop and maintain a high level of attention to detail in decision making on loans in terms of quality of loans and ability of customer to repay
  • Ensure all member transactions are recorded accurately in an organised and timely manner
  • Maintain and operate filing and other record systems in accordance with the relevant procedures and controls, these will all be taught to you
  • Organise your own work, in line with standards and deadlines set
  • Ensure compliance with Data Protection legislation at all times, ensuring members information is kept safe, up to date and not shared with others
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations at all times

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week)
