  • To accurately pick and pack customer orders using the Warehouse Management (WM) system via either handheld devices or workstations, meeting specific unitary targets for relevant task types (e.g. DTC (Mail order), Retail, etc.)
  • Pack all goods to customer to a high standard of presentation in line with Orvis commitment to customer care and quality standards. Alert QAD department of any concerns over damaged stock arriving and take appropriate remedial action to prevent substandard goods reaching the customer
  • To ensure that all packed items are shipped in accordance with customer-specific shipping methods, that goods are distributed without delay and in line with customer expectation and Orvis cost parameters
  • To dispose of all incidental packaging waste arising from order processing using environmental disposals options where possible. Ensures that all work areas are maintained in a clean and tidy manner to reduce any risks, including trip hazards and waste build ups
  • To update the warehouse stock management system on a daily basis, ensuring that all orders picked are scanned in the same day to allow accurate management reporting on orders out and inventory holding in the warehouse
  • Take delivery of goods into the warehouse, checking off quantities received against delivery notes ensuring these tally and alerting warehouse administration of any shortfalls identified. Once, reconciled, goods are to be confirmed onto WM ready for put-away into locations
  • Move received stock into correct location. Stock is to be prepped (unboxed or boxes opened) to increase the pick flow within the Fulfilment operation 
  • Team member to report any IVAS work carried out that is required to put stock away. Information will then be added to Vendor Compliance database so feedback can be given to relevant parties
  • To ensure that all stock locations are accurately maintained on a daily basis, checking for any stock incorrectly located and taking appropriate actions to relocate to correct space allocation as directed by warehouse management
  • Assist in OVAS/Embroidery, making alterations to clothing, e.g. hemming trousers and the personalisation of dog products e.g. beds and collars
  • Assist in fishing product repairs, under the mentorship of a specialist

Future prospects

Initially working towards attaining an NVQ (Level 2) in Warehouse Logistics, which may lead to a permanent position within the Warehouse team.
