Wonderful opportunity for someone looking to start their career in hairdressing. You will assist in the upkeep of the salon, deal with clients, carry out hairdressing services and assist colleagues.

Level 2 (GCSE)
No experience required, all we ask is that you are enthusiastic, punctual, hard-working, a team player and have a passion for hairdressing.
We will provide you with a range of learning opportunities covering all areas of work within the salon. This will be in line with the apprenticeship standard and in addition will also include training in perms which is a popular service provided at our salon.
You will assist in the upkeep of the salon, deal with clients, carry out hairdressing services and assist colleagues.

Entry is subject to interview and assessment.
You will need to have relevant employment. In addition, you need to have 4 GCSEs or alternatives at grade D / 3 or higher, including English & maths or have achieved a Level 1 hairdressing qualification or have relevant experience* and be able to demonstrate ability equivalent to, or exceeding Level 1 in English & maths.
On completion and achievement of the standard, apprentices can progress on to Level 3 standard for Senior Hairdresser.
Things to consider
Staff new to role may experience skin sensitivity related to the increased exposure to wet hands.
The role also involves spending the majority of working time stood, therefore you will need to be able to cope with the demands of the role.

Level 2 Hair Professional
Hairdressers will be able to shampoo and condition hair, cut hair using a range of techniques, style and finish hair to create variety of looks, and colour and lighten hair for ladies and men.
Apprentices will focus on the development of the mandatory knowledge, skills and behaviours before opting for an occupational area in Hairdressing or Barbering to develop more specific skills and techniques.
