Widnes Late Night Pharmacy are a family run business that operates within a busy health centre environment. They are an independent family run business that is passionate about providing patient care by improving the health and wellbeing to their customers and the wider community.

As an apprentice you will learn all the skills necessary to deal with the public in a retail and healthcare environment.

You must possess a good range of GCSEs including English and Maths and have a good level of IT literacy. Attention to detail and a drive to learn through a structured learning and development programme is vital.

You will work alongside a varied team of highly trained pharmacists and technicians, who will guide you through your learning in order to reach your qualification

The role includes customer face to face customer contact, including over the counter medicine sales, as well as dealing with telephone queries. Also, electronic stock control and patient data entry to include NHS/private prescriptions. In addition the role involves maintenance of the general appearance and cleanliness of the retail areas.

Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)

This apprenticeship programme is delivered with a blended learning approach and includes a mixture of onsite tutor visits and online tutor led sessions. All delivery is completed in the workplace and you will not need to attend any off-site training.
