Key Duties Include:

  • Support Practitioners to work alongside children to work effectively with the room leader and assistant and be able to follow instructions
  • To arrange rooms in accordance with the senior practitioner's instructions to ensure a purposeful and productive learning environment
  • To support the learning of pupils by implementing activities planned by senior practitioners
  • With support, to assess children's development, feeding back to senior practitioners
  • To use office equipment effectively such as photocopiers, telephone systems and computer equipment
  • To demonstrate a commitment to developing personal skills in accordance with the apprenticeship standard
  • To meet appropriate deadlines throughout the full apprenticeship period.
  • To complete assignment/projects which relate to the apprenticeship standard

General Responsibilities include:

  • To follow all school procedures and Health & Safety Policies. Guidance will be given to the candidate regarding these procedures
