Combining study and work, under the instruction and supervision of skilled technical staff, your days will offer lots of unique challenges, with an array of interesting work, and training.
You will work towards acquiring the knowledge and skills on how to competently perform duties:
- Using hand tools
- Marking out
- Fitting and assembly
- Using CNC laser & bending technology
- MIG/TIG welding and fabricating
Requirements and prospects
- Good communication skills
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Motivated, can-do attitude
- Good practical ability and manual dexterity
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above or equivalents including maths and English
Prospect of progression to a higher-level apprenticeship qualification and to progress within the business. Prospect of a permanent position for the right candidate on completion of the Apprenticeship.
Things to consider
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
