The successful applicants will work alongside existing qualified pipefitters and welders. They will be fabricating and welding pipework and steelwork on site and in the workshop at several locations.
They will be learning how to use and working with various engineering tools day to day including:
- Welders
- Thermal cutting equipment
- Grinders
- Drills
- Threading machines
Standard week will be Monday - Friday, 8am - 4.30pm but this is dependent on location and type of work.
Requirements and prospects
Desired skills
An interest in engineering, with some knowledge and experience using engineering tools would be an advantage but not essential.
Personal qualities
- A good positive, can do attitude, with a desire to learn and progress and is self-motivated
- A clear interest in a career in engineering
Desired qualifications
GCSE grade C/5 or above in maths and English, or equivalent.
Future prospects
You could become a coded welder in structural or pipework, site/workshop supervisor, a manager, or Design Engineer. Styne Ltd are very proactive in recruiting internally and when a new position becomes available are very keen on looking at their current staff to see any potential with in and harness it.
Things to consider
The candidate will require a full UK Driving Licence and their own vehicle to get to and from work, or be able to make other travel arrangements. There is also a requirement the candidate is happy for lodging away from home anywhere in the UK when work is in areas outside of East Anglia.

Styne Ltd specialises in design, fabrication, and manufacture of metal work ranging from hygienic conveyor systems and process pipework, to decorative handrails and structural mild steel fabricated to BS EN 1090.
We have extensive knowledge and experience working in the pharmaceutical, food, beverage, power and construction industries supplying bespoke precision engineering on materials such as stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium and food safe plastics.
