Things to consider
Training to be a good decorator is not a soft option, it takes enthusiasm, commitment and skill.
We rarely work on building sites, but the nature of this environment should be considered and be prepared to have to work outside.
Much of the work can be repetitive, especially whilst you are learning.
Ultimately, you will need to be comfortable working at height, i.e. on ladders and scaffolding.
This is a physical/manual trade.
You may be required to get to a site yourself or to travel to an agreed pick up point on a daily basis.
About the employer
Specialist Painters and Decorators.
For over a decade, Giuseppe Piran has been building a reputation as a company that consistently sets the highest standards in painting and decorating. No surprise – Giuseppe Piran himself brings years of experience working at select properties like St. James's Palace, Mansion House, Althorp House and Clarence House.
Today, the company that bears his name, offers a specialist service that guarantees property owners, companies, interior designers and builders results they can be proud of. They have many years of practical experience using specialist techniques and treatments, for example, hand-painting bespoke kitchens, gilding, wood-graining, colour-washing and all other types of special finishes, exterior woodwork and insurance repairs. They use up-to-date paints and materials, including organic products. Importantly, our expertise has given us a sound appreciation of colour relationships so we are able to offer advice and provide samples, particularly in the use of heritage colours for period homes.
