Duties to include:

  • Operate a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in your area in conjunction with other staff

About the employer

Kids R Us is based in Leytonstone near Green man roundabout. Kids R Us is located in an extremely spacious church hall, which is split in to three age groups, pre-school, toddlers and babies. Again Kids R Us offers integrated play between pre-school and toddlers due to mixed class sessions. Babies have a separate classroom. Kids R Us has a fantastic natural outdoor area encouraging the children to develop upon their exploratory skills. Exploration of nature is encouraged by the practitioners and facilitated by the trees and environment around Kids R Us. There is also an outdoor sensory room which complements the outdoor area greatly. Kids R Us Nursery also offers a holiday, breakfast and after school club for children up to the age of 8 years.

What does the qualification cover?

The Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) prepares learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years.

Functional skills in English and maths if required.

Upon achievement of this qualification it is intended that learners will be able to enter the workforce as Early Years Educators.

We have structured the units around three themes:

  • Theme 1: Health and well-being
  • Theme 2: Legislation, frameworks and professional practice
  • Theme 3: Play, development and learning for school readiness
