This apprentice role has been created to support and help the Payroll Team with a variety of duties which will include:

  • Calculating right amounts to pay, deductions, overtime, bonuses, allowances
  • Inputting data related to weekly and monthly payments into a computer and creating statistics
  • Ensuring the right amounts are deducted for pension contributions, income tax, National Insurance
  • Adding any statutory payments necessary, including maternity / paternity and sick pay
  • The role will also involve general duties such as scanning, photocopying and speaking to clients on the telephone and via email

Desired qualifications

  • GCSE 9 - 4 / A*-C or equivalent in English and maths, proof of certificates is required
  • We do not have the facility to provide math’s and English upskilling alongside the apprenticeship, applications with less than the required grades will not be considered
  • Equally applications received not stating math’s and English results will not be considered

Future prospects

  • Upon successful completion of the Level 3 Payroll Administrator apprenticeship there is possibility of a permanent position as long as all targets are met

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week)
