This role is ideal for someone who is friendly and bubbly with the confidence to talk to customers and have the ability to take orders in a professional manner when talking to the general public. You should also be organised and willing to use your own initiative.

The apprenticeship would give you a qualification in the catering industry: this role offers an excellent opportunity to get exposure to every part of the business and to learn a variety of new skills.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Serving customers in the shop and ensuring they have a great experience
  • Baking to a high standard (training will be given)
  • Preparing sandwiches and coffees
  • Deli preparations, pastries, and fillings
  • Second bakes
  • Organising and planning orders
  • Keeping the shop clean and tidy at all times

Level 2 Hospitality Team Member apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)

Evidence is gathered and assessed in the workplace. As an Apprentice you will be included on a Hospitality qualification. Your qualification will be delivered by a Kirklees College Learning & Assessment Officer who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve coming to visit you on a regular basis guide you through your Apprenticeship.
