Level 2 (GCSE)
We are looking for an apprentice butcher to work up to 40 hours a week, over 5 days including Saturdays.
Training will be given covering all aspects of the industry. You will develop knife skills, learn the production of sausages, burgers and other processed products. The serving of customers, the stocking of counters, fridges & freezers and the completion of orders.

Butchery can lead to different positions, working in retail, wholesale, behind the scenes in meat hygiene service.
Things to consider
It is hard work, involves early starts and weekend work. At busy times it can demand longer hours and in the winter months it can be a very cold working environment.
Butchery has a skills shortage of skilled butchers nationally, the right candidate can earn a good living.
