Greenacres Tavern are looking for are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and confident applicants to join their team as a Hospitality Team Member. You will join a close-knit team, so you’ll get the family feel from day one, working as a team to serve up great food and drinks in a fun, friendly atmosphere. The successful candidate will be working towards gaining a Hospitality Team Member Level 2 Apprenticeship.

What will your day-to-day duties involve?

  •  Serving alcoholic and soft and hot drinks
  • Taking food and drink orders
  • Serving customers
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service at all times
  • Meeting and greeting customers
  • Clearing tables and keeping general area clean
  • Ensure you meet requirements in respect of COSHH, Licensing Laws, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures
  • You will also be required to keep up to date with all Apprenticeship work, and to have regular one to one meetings (every 4-6 weeks) with the Regional Trainer to discuss your work

This is a role with a demanding schedule to incorporate a mix of early shifts, late evenings and weekends due to the nature of the business.

  • Level 2 Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship Standard

This will include the completion of functional skills in maths and English.

Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices’ chosen career route, each standard has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role.

Once the Apprentice has completed a minimum of 12-months training and the employer and Babcock regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the Apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role.

Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, one to one training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.
