  • The successful applicant will be working within an installation team
  • You will be paired up with an experienced installer, and given full training on how to fit a variety of windows, PVCu doors, composite doors, bifold, French doors, and conservatories
  • Training will be given on correct installation methods which is in-line with building regulations, as well as Health and Safety regulations
  • The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to work on large sites, for some of the UK’s largest house builders
  • The role offers great opportunity for progression, alongside training to become a qualified Installer
  • You will be using a variety of different tools, including hand and power tools
  • The work can involve working at heights, using ladders and scaffolding, and some heavy lifting so please bare this in mind when applying for the position
  • You will be working indoors and outdoors and can involve some work in various weather conditions

  • Being polite and courteous to all customers and members of staff is also crucial at all times

Desired qualifications

GCSE (or equivalent) English and maths above a C/4 is desirable but a positive attitude and good work ethic is essential.

On completion of your level 2 apprenticeship with the company, an opportunity to apply for a full-time post may be offered to the right candidate.

Due to the nature of this apprenticeship, some of the work will need to be completed at height and will require heavy lifting.

About the employer

Right Price PVCu Limited is a family run business, with 28 years’ experience in manufacturing, supplying and fitting; PVCu windows, doors, conservatories, soffits, fascia and guttering, to homeowners and also direct to the trade.

They fabricate products directly from their Plympton factory using their own highly skilled craftsmen, and all installations are carried out by their team of expert and experienced fitters, who will insure the best possible result.

Right Price PVCu Limited have worked with the Skills Group for a number of years and have successfully trained other Apprentices who are now part of their team.

  • Level 2 Fenestration Installer Standard 

Most aspects of your training will be delivered on-site with the employer, and you will have regular site visits every six to eight weeks from your designated assessor, who will monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship programme.

Skills Group will also support you to achieve Emergency First Aid and a Health and Safety Certificate, along with Internet Safety and Safeguarding.

You will also be supported by Skills Group to complete your CSCS online test, to achieve your CSCS Card which enables you to carry out site work, if required.
