Ideally would suit someone with an interest in developing their career in construction. This is a physically demanding role so candidates will need to be fit and well and able to work in all weather conditions.  

  • Adhering to Health & Safety 
  • Assisting with general labouring 
  • Setting out bricks and blocks 
  • Mixing concrete and mortar as required 
  • Interpreting drawings and plans 
  • Laying blocks, bricks correctly and checking alignments 
  • Shaping and trimming bricks by hand and power tools 
  • Keeping site clean and tidy 
  • Clearing up at the end of the day 
  • General site work 
  • Keeping the workplace clean and tidy 

Requirements and prospects

  • Previous work experience in the construction industry would be advantageous.

Desired qualifications

  • No formal qualifications are needed, however a CSCS Card will be required before a candidate can start on site.
