Main tasks to include:

  • Answering the phone and taking enquiries
  • Organising appointments in the diary and assisting with creation of rotas
  • Typing and creating letters, menus, room guides
  • Filing and important and confidential documents
  • Creating file systems and maintaining databases
  • Administrations of purchase orders
  • Assisting account department with daily tasks
  • Working on spreadsheets and Excel reporting
  • Answering and responding to e-mails
  • Replying to reviews and online feedback
  • Covering reception and completing all reception duties
  • Meeting and greeting clients both professional and members of the public
  • Making teas and coffees for high level staff and board meetings
  • Servicing meetings, taking minutes

Apprentices will also be working in our beautiful care home assisting with:

  • Upholding the AURA standards by delivering the next level of customer service to our residents
  • Activities and events
  • One to one communication
  • Liaising with families
  • Assisting with breakfast lunch and dinner service

Things to consider

This is a care home environment so particular attention must be paid to the type of clientele that will attend the reception area. The job will involve shifts and some weekend work. This is a varied role where things will change on a weekly basis due to what work is required week to week.

Each apprentice will be allocated a Coach to support ongoing learning and preparation for EPA. In addition, Progress Reviews will take place regularly to ensure the apprentice is on track
