Horticulture Apprentice RV Roger Ltd
We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to work as part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team and to learn a broad range of skills required on a busy traditional nursery. The successful candidate will undertake a range of tasks and get a chance to work alongside colleagues with many years experience in the trade.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Level 2 (GCSE)
We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to work as part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team and to learn a broad range of skills required on a busy traditional nursery. The successful candidate will undertake a range of tasks which include:
- Rose and tree budding
- Making cuttings
- Land management
- Forming wide range of tree shapes
- Weed management
- Stool bed
- Layer bed management
- Handling and dispatch of nursery crops
Requirements and prospects
- To be able to work as part of a team
- Listen to and carry out instructions
- Good communication skills
- Good work ethic
- Hard working
- Can work as part of a team
English and maths at grade D/3 or equivalent is required.
Possible full time employment on completion of the apprenticeship for the right candidate.
Things to consider
Some work is conducted outside so be prepared to work outside.
It is practical work so candidates must be hard working.

Horticulture and Landscape Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:
- Training will be provided mostly in the workplace with an assessor coming to visit on a regular basis to do work-based reviews, assessments and observations
- Day Release at Bishop Burton College on Mondays
- Functional Skills in maths and English if applicable
