  • Assists kitchen staff in maintaining high cuisine standards
  • Assists the line chefs in the production of different foods for example vegetables, meats and pastries
  • Assists the head chef in ensuring that food is prepared and served to the clients on time
  • Assists the head chef in ensuring that health and safety standards are upheld in the kitchen

About the employer

The Woodman Inn is a glorious independent country pub in the tranquil, rural, tiny hamlet of Thunder bridge, near Huddersfield; dating back to the 18th century we are well-known for our food as well as our cosy and comfortable accommodation.  Building on this heritage we are pushing forward with our plans for a full reopening after the national lockdown. We have numerous events and functions coming up and so our kitchen brigade is looking to expand by welcoming a new apprentice chef on board.

The apprentice will attend college one day per week for Practical and Theory sessions.

An Assessor will be assigned to the apprentice and evidence of learning will be gathered and assessed in the workplace. Regular reviews of progress will be carried out by the Assessor.
