Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of all children at all times
  • To be a source of emotional stability for the children, comforting them when needed, but also supporting them to comfort themselves when they are able
  • Act as key person for a group of children and ensure that information on your key-children is shared with all staff to ensure that all their needs are being met by all
  • Assisting with mealtimes
  • Carrying out observations and planning activities for the children with the support from room leader/curriculum manager
  • Work in partnership with parents
  • Carrying out risk assessments
  • To provide a wide and varied range of activities for the children individually and as a group appropriate to their needs and developmental stage, using The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum

Things to consider

  • This role is located in Wimbledon and will require the apprentice to work 8.00 am -5.00 pm/6.00 pm It would be a preference if applicants could ensure their commute is no longer than 30-40 minutes
  • This position requires a genuinely passionate character who is keen to pursue Childcare as a career
