To be trained in the following job duties:

  • The main duties will be to support the Laboratory Manager in the manufacture of custom made products for hearing aids and hearing protection and to support the clerical team in various tasks such as receipting postal deliveries, preparing orders for invoicing etc and  manual tasks such as mixing and pouring materials (acrylics and silicone)
  • Also manually hand finishing the items by grinding, polishing and packing the final product
  • To receive and sort postal deliveries
  • Perform quality control on the products
  • To prepare orders for invoicing
  • Trim and prepare ear impressions
  • Invest impressions in plaster or gel
  • Pour / pack acrylics in the investment to make the mould
  • Grind and polish earmould blanks
  • Hand shape earmould blanks into requested styles
  • Maintain cleanliness in the workplace
  • To help with the production of 3D Printed earpieces
  • Support health and safety objectives
  • Replenish material stock
  • There may be the need to lift heavy objects (max 25kg)
  • To receive and sort impressions in order of priority
