Working as part of a team receiving full training, both at work and through off the job training, you will:

  • Set milling machines and vertical and horizontal borers
  • Understand engineering drawings
  • Use height gauges, micrometers and verniers to accurately measure finished parts
  • At all times follow health and safety procedures, ensuring safe working practices and areas for yourself and the people around you

  • You should have an interest in a career in Engineering
  • Some prior knowledge of engineering operations, technical drawings or similar would be advantageous but not necessary as full training will be given

Personal qualities

  • You should be reliable, organised and work well as part of a team

Desired qualifications

GCSE Maths and English grade 4/C or above (or the equivalent).

We are located approx. 1 mile from Leek town centre which is well served by busses. There is a bus stop near to Key plant but buses are not frequent. Please consider how you will get to work each day.
