Blackburn Road Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our team, working at Blackburn Road medical Centre on Blackburn Road, Birstall and Birkenshaw Health Centre, Town Street, Birkenshaw.

Duties include:

  • Ensure that all patients and all visitors at reception and telephone callers to the practice are greeted professionally and politely
  • Be part of the team that answers all incoming calls from patients and other healthcare professionals. Divert them as appropriate or take messages
  • Deal with administrative queries and requests from patients and act as liaison with clinicians as necessary
  • Make, arrange, cancel appointments via the clinical system (SYSTMONE)
  • Read and code patient information as required 

Essential requirements:

  • Good telephone manner
  • Customer service experience
  • Recent experience in a Data Quality position
  • Must be eager to learn and grow with the organisation
  • Good attention to detail and ability to adapt to all situations at ease
  • Computer literate
  • Great team player
  • Work independently and the ability to use your own initiative
  • Excellent customer service and patient focused
  • Happy to undergo a CRB, DBS Check

Desirable requirements:

  • Recent experience in a Medical administration position
  • Be able to start immediately
