You will be involved in a variety of activities ranging from arts and crafts, Halloween discos, preparing and serving snacks and taking children on outings.

 

Duties may include:

  • Planning and monitoring activities with the children
  • Providing play areas, materials and equipment
  • Encouraging good behaviours
  • Liaising with parents and carers
  • Observations of EYFS children
  • Assist in the day to day running of the provision

Undertake all required staff meetings and training

You may have to complete an English and Maths skills assessment. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.40 per hour from 1st October 2016. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

We cater for children aged between three years & six months and eleven and aim to deliver quality childcare in a fun and relaxed setting. We base all of our planning on the Playwork Principles and EYFS. This means that we create space and opportunity for children, but then allow them to lead their own play. We observe and guide children to develop their ideas and play, or try new challenges.
