Things to consider

It is a demanding job, with long hours and high expectations from staff and clients. You must be willing to start at the bottom, sweep hair and make tea and coffees for the clients before you even start to shampoo, let alone get near the scissors and colouring tools. It is also a highly rewarding career pathway and has great transferrable skills for other sectors.
