Things to consider
You will be working outside and often at weekends. Working with horses can be physically demanding so a level of fitness is required.
The hours of work will be agreed with the employer and the weekly pay will be in accordance with the hours worked. You may be asked to start early e.g. 7.00am or finish late e.g. 7.00pm and some weekend work being involved, but this will be agreed with the employer.
The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for Apprentices will be £3.90 per hour from 1 April 2019. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices, the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
