Hickory’s in Chester are looking for two committed Apprentice Chefs. The successful candidates will work in a busy kitchen, producing quality fresh food to be presented for American smoker meals.

Core apprenticeship tasks with include;

  • Preparing, cooking, presenting food.
  • Making sure that food is served promptly.
  • Monitoring food production, ensuring consistent quality.
  • Monitoring stock control.
  • Following relevant hygiene, health & safety guidelines.
  • This opportunity provides a fantastic opportunity to grow with the company with a full time position on offer on completion of the apprenticeship process for the right candidates.

Our aim at Hickory’s is to bring a taste of the US barbecue belt to our restaurants using the American Smokers we imported from Memphis, Tennessee. We smoke over smouldering hickory wood for up to 16 hours creating meat that is tender & full of flavour.
