Duties, responsibilities, and accountabilities:

  • Be responsible for all content on the College website, identify changes and improvements and update as necessary or as requested.
  • Create and upload all news, events and case studies on to the College website CMS. Update other content taking in to account Search Engine Optimisation.
  • Implement all online marketing campaigns in accordance with the plans.
  • Assist with the implementation and delivery of effective social media and digital media projects, social media content and engagement including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube in accordance to the campaign plans.
  • Manage all College digital channels – Website, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Snapchat (plus others as they are developed) creating content for both paid and organic postings.
  • Monitor performance of content and activity on digital channels (including organic and paid advertising campaigns).
  • Monitor and review Google Analytics and report findings to Marketing Manager.
  • Keep the website up-to-date – course information, content updates, news articles and events, keep images/videos fresh and relevant.
  • Take responsibility for all e-marketing campaigns including data segmentation, targeting and data protection.
  • Assist with the writing and distribution of press releases and case studies to be used externally and on MyDay.
  • Assist with all marketing campaigns, including mailshots, email marketing, social media and e-newsletters. Assist in the design of graphics to be used on marketing materials.
  • Assist in the design of email surveys.
  • Liaise with teams across the college to discover opportunities for content for social media and PR.
  • Photography required to support marketing materials.
  • Video production for use on social media/website.
  • Supporting marketing events.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Good knowledge of social media.
  • Competent IT Skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Fast and accurate keyboarding skills.
  • Good standard of written and oral communication, with an eye for detail.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing skills, Good photography skills and a basic knowledge of video editing would also be an advantage. 

Personal qualities

  • Calm and confident.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the College.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.

Qualifications required

  • GCSE Maths and English grade C or above, or equivalent.
  • An IT qualifcation would be an advantage.

Future prospects

Gaining a Level 3 Advanced Qualification in Digital Marketing.
